A service for individuals who experience
LEARNING DIFFERENCES
that affect their ability to have success with work, academics,
learning and everyday experiences in the community. In addition to
socialization focus is on needs related to challenges associated with
“Executive functioning” skills-planning, goal setting, organization,
problem solving, and other mental strategies. Individuals will develop
the courage and the skills needed for greater independence and personal
growth.
The emphasis is on individualized personal attention which includes a
needs assessment and development and implementation of a plan.
Outcomes are focused on developing skills necessary for educational and
vocational success and in improving independence and self-sufficiency.
Becoming a better self-advocate is a central goal in the process for
developing a greater quality of life and the ability to reach long term
goals.
